I guess I’m the latest victim of the manifold crack, or maybe one of the first and didn’t know until now that my built engine is out do to #5 rod bearing failure. I need advise on the most reliable way to fix the problem, should I get it weld or just get a new one? BTW it has a crack similar to everyone else, rt side.
Thanks for the help.

just find a good welder. mine came out really good and am confident it will hold up. cost ended up only being $75.

guys did it crack because of heat wrap ?? or just like this? am asking this because i live in a 125+ F during summer so i might as well heat wrap that manifold but am afraid of the cracking issue.

mine wasn't heat wrapped, to me it looked like more stress crack from holding up the weight of the turbo

Mine was cracked (no heat wrap), it happened after only approx 5000 miles. Greddy sent a new Manifold to Sharif who contacted them when he fixed my car.

Hmm I just installed a greddy tt kit on my car back in June. What are the chance of this happening to me? Was a brand new kit.
Also anyone try rigging up something to bolt to the turbo somewhere to help relieve the stress of the turbo on the manifold?

ooh then heat wrap here i come :1 if there`s a replacement i`ll be so happy if it happened after 2 years and the pair of manifolds are for $600 this is fair enough to me.

but wow after 5000 miles only !? thats crazy and i know that breto got his kit about a year and half so its not one of the earlier kits.
