Thanks for the inputs guys~ SARD it is then... I wonder if I have to get clips for it...
Cheapest RC 750cc I found so far costs about $520. Cheapest SARD 800cc I found so far is about $540 (in Japan)... Isn't HKS 1000cc alot more expensive? I thought 6set costs around $700~$800...

Can these other injectors (Denso made: SARD, HKS, etc) be driven by the UTEC or is the FCON required? I guess the other way of asking is are they high or low impedence?

I also read on the WRX forum a reply from a TXS rep that their UTEC can drive low impedence injectors sequentially. Is that not possible on the 350z version? EDIT: found multiple threads that state that utec CANNOT drive low impedence directly.

So do they make high impedence SARD injectors?

Jeremy,

So I presume you can get SARD injectors as high impedence - great. Now will they fit nicely? Or are modifications required?

Thanks!

EDIT: Ok where's the best source for these? I'm having trouble finding a vendor for the VQ35 application...

A lot of that is the EMS, with the RC 750cc's and the Fcon the car starts right up cold or hot, before when I had the Emanage starts were tough, had to blip the gas pedal, Utec is the same. I am going to try the RC low impedance 1000cc's to see how it changes things mainly to see if idle can me made even smoother, if not much of a difference I will try the HKS.

yeah, thats true, cause if you put some RC 750s on the stock computer, it will start right up, then idle at 9 to 1 AFR

Can't the UTEC be adjusted (0% load column) to change the idle AFR? You can also adjust the TPS threshold down to 0 and have it directly control injector pulse width at idle in speed density mode, correct?

So westpak, you're saying there's not much point in trying other injectors with the UTEC cause the starts and idle will still be difficult with larger injectors?

You are correct that idle will be controlled by the 0% column but there are no settings or resizing in the Utec to control fuel at start, the car will still think it is starting with 290cc injectors, with the Fcon you can not only resize injectors but you can also adjust fuel at start to fine tune it, plus coolant temp adjustments and inlet air temp adjustments.

So a reflash could potentially solve that issue then... maybe if it's a problem, then a reflash to address that as well as other "issues" would be the way to go.

the hks, from what I remember require some modification beacause they don't seat properly...not overly involved though.
