My Car Died
on the freeway..
pretty much shut off completely and I was able to swerve to the shoulder and park. WTF. My battery was reading at 12v. and I didn't get an oil pressure reading. I have APS TT+unichip. Lights come on, but the Car won't start.

Were you just crusing or were you on the car when it shut off? On my APS single turbo if i am on it then let the revs fall fast the car will stall. But that was when i miss shifted so i left it in neutral. Were you tuned? At what HP and boost pressure?

something appears to be consuming juice, cuz my battery was at 12v (was at 13.7 or so a week ago. Almost feels like a power failure from improper voltage.. dunno, just wild guessing at this point..

battery shouldn't have caused an issue while driving. The alternator is supplying the current at that point. The battery at 12v while driving indicates that it's not receiving current from the alternator (which should be around 14v).
Check wiring and/or replace alternator = problem fixed. If you put in a new battery it will work till you drain it, then die again. You could test my theory this way

If your voltage was 12v while car was running, that points to alternator.
If the car died, then the voltage dropped to 12v, that doesn't point to the alternator. If this is the case, fuel pump sounds like the issue...

yes but if the battery is 12v then the car is running off just battery.. and would still be enough to keep the car running till everything shut down.
