So, you have 9.0 compression. I noticed that on Turbo-kits.com that they offer a built bottom end with CR ranging from 8.6, 9.2, 10.5 and 11.5. Being that I only want 600whp, would you recommend the 9.2 CR over the 8.6 CR so that it will make more power at a lower PSI level due to slightly higher compression?

this is just my opinion, but i would def go with the 9.2:1 ratio... 8.6:1 is fine and will work well, but with the head gaskets and head stud upgrades that we have available, there's no need for lower compression pistons... also, lower boost = more aggressive timing...

Ive got 8.5 CP pistons and am making very good power with such a low CR. I think such a small jump in CR is negotiable in power gains. Never hurts to do 9.0 tho.

+1...no human being can tell the difference between 9.0:1 and 8.5:1...maybe a 1% power difference....if that.

with a lower compresion ratio, you should be able to run more boost/timing than a comparable, yet higher comp.ratio setup ...........all on pump gas.......

If you are on race gas, the higher comp.ratio setup will make more power...more than likely.

I have that exact shortblock from SFR with 8.6 compression with about the same setup as this. They seem about the same...

What about tunning the two different CRs though?

you read my mind. Arthur is a nice guy, and we use his Dyno for indepedent DJ power test numbers, from time to time.
