since most of the responces here are running my dumps (thanks guys) i'm glad to see most all getting a kick from the sound. i personally could not change it because the sound reflection off the car next to you, and the look on the guys face your racing when you pass him is priceless, hahhaa. you really need to be purposely getting into it, especially with an electronic boost controller, to have it open. a manual boost controller will start to open abit sooner though.
if ya dump it at full boost, you create a completely unrestricted path for a portion of the exhaust to go, thus making a smaller exhaust work good at higher rpm's where it otherwise might rob some power.

IMO open dumps arnt my cup of tea. I love engine sounds, dont get me wrong. i think my APS 2.5" exhaust is wayyyyyy to quite.
That said, go open downpipe or recic. Even the F40 open dumps dont impress me. IMO it takes away from vital engine sounds (ie detonation).
