And you thought we only build Drag cars!
The majority of people that know or have heard about us @ Vinny Ten Racing know us for the first 6 second VQ powered Drag Car, and high horsepower street 350z/G35s and Supras, well this time we got to attend the 47th Annual Weatherly Hill Climb in Pennsylvania and watch a customer of ours compete for the first time.
The car owner is an avid road racer and wanted us to build his G35c to compete in SCCA BP class. We suggested to instead build a 350z, for the sole fact that the 350z is a cheaper starting base compared to the g35c.
The car is a 2003 PPW 350z stripped and built to SCCA class B Prepared specs. Its running on a VTR Stg 2 Motor w/ a JWT TT upgraded to the 700BB.
Took it to the racetrack in Sebring, FL two weeks ago and just finished competing at the Hillclimb over the weekend; and took 1st place!

the cone filter is for a Fresh Air System that hooks up to the driver's helmet...
there is also a Cool Shirt system in the trunk, where a small cooler is filled with ice and has tubing that connects to his race suit! talk about being spoiled! =) the car can compete on a 12hr race or the 24hrs of LeMans haha
We never dynoed the car, nor does it have a boost gauge on it... the motor setup was derived from our drag cars from 3 years ago so its rated @ up to 1300hp if it was setup for drag racing, but as far as HP is concerned he's playing @ the 480-510 whp range... there are 3 street cars that we've built that pulled within those ranges with the same setup but are now getting the boost turned up and are on the testing phase for the Hydra EMS.
Car is still on:
Bolt-on JWT TT 700BB and on the Split Second Box for EMS (believe it or not, this system is not bad at all)
Stock Rear End w/ a Cusco RZ Diff
Stock BOOST settings from JWT (9-11lbs)
AP 4 Piston Calipers all around. w/ Ferodo Pads on Castrol SR-F Fluid

Sam and M... thanks for the kind words.
