Default Aps St Problem

So, I just got in from a nice joy ride but it kinda sowered towards the end. I went under boost in 4th gear and i felt a jerk and the boost that was building suddenly stopped, on my way home i tried to go under boost but it wouldn't boost. the engine is running perfectly fine, there is no smoke. The car just won't boost any more, so technically, it feels stock. No warning lights came on or anything like that.....when I rev the engine, the turbo doesn't kick in....sounds like a simple problem (i hope)....maybe something came loose down there? help guys!

ok, so i drop off my car today at dynamic turbo to get checked out and it turns out that my air intake filter was detached. I had them reattach the filter and i got an oil change. the problem is that the guy is also telling me that my oil seals are bad and that my intake had a puddle of oil in there. he said that i would have to basically rebuild my turbo to fix that.....is this true?? do i have to get the whole turbo rebuilt??? this sucks!

Well if you are not getting any oil out the exhaust then they are probably fine, the oil might have been left over from when you had the check valve issue.

Also please tell me they only filled up the oil to the L or low level on the dip stick, otherwise you will have issues.

I just got back into town, and the shop is closed today. Like I said the oil is probably from the previous issues with the check valve not anything new, if the seals were bad you would get smoke out the exhaust, and I forgot your was an ST so the oil level is not an issue as it is with the Twins.

ok, what i'll do is keep an eye out for any leaking oil out of the exhaust, will it be significantly noticeable or should i inspect after each drive? thanks gus.

If it is that bad you will prbably see oil dripping down by the turbo/exhaust flanges. If the seals are leaking you would see smoke coming out of your exhaust during driving and/or idling. The oil they saw was probably from the initial issue you had with the check valve which allowed oil past the seals and into the tubing.
