If you need a crank, we have 3 stock cranks sittings here. Anywhere from 2k miles to 35k mile motors.

It takes some serious trauma to break a crankshaft like that. Keep us posted.

all the pistons and rods were replaced in the build and the crank was rebalanced along with all new bearings.

Most likely, something wasnt clearanced correctly. Could be too much crankshaft end play, a thrust washer could have spun around and locked up the crank. Take the rest of the bottom end, and report back on any telltale signs of the cause of this. This is the first cracked VQ35 crank I have seen.

It did NOT come from you guys, cause this would have never happened with a SHARIF Short Block.

Jeremy,

This is not true. I built the block July/August of last year and Jason has said he has been driving it for 9-10 months. Here is what I wrote him in a PM:

"Yeah like Sharif said more then likely the motor took on some serious detonation or abuse to cause the crank to snap in half. If the machining on the crank or the balancing on the crank was not done properly from the machine shop you would have felt it or had problems way before 9-10 months of driving.
Let me know if I can be of any help what so ever but a problem like this would likely not be covered under the warranty as it is not a machining issue."

I feel very strongly that a machining problem would have shown up well before 9-10 months of driving the car. It worries me that the car ran flawlessly for 10 months and after upping the boost to 14 Lbs the crank snaps in half.

The crank was magnafluxed and checked for cracks and straightness when the block was assembled. No way would the block been put together with a cracked crank.

I stand behind my work 100% and have no problems accepting responsibility if something was done wrong on my end. I would like to see more of what happened and have no problem what so ever talking to you and Jason about what could have caused this problem. There are a lot of possibilities that could have caused this to happen like crank walk, low oil pressure, detonation, etc etc. I am just as curious as you and Jason to know what exactly happened.

Let me know more as you find out and I will work with the both of you the best I can.

I agree with Kyle on this one. Something would have tipped you off long ago if the crank was indeed cracked right off the bat....
