Default FI teaser vid

Here is a vid of Sam @ GTM tuning my G on the dyno. It looks and sounds awesome! Unfortunately, a leak developed during tuning so I was unable to bring my G home yet. But it shouldn't be too long now.

Yeah it sounds crazy. If you notice on the vid, there is some black smoke coming out of my exhaust cuz my G is running pig rich right now. But this was very early in the tuning. Once the leak is fixed it will go back up on the dyno to finish tuning.

No worries here bro. Sam won't even release the car to me until he is happy that the car is tuned right and there are no issues. Even though I wanted to drive her home last night, I appreciate a guy/shop that has your safety and satisfaction in mind.
Being installed at GTM is a polished Vortech SC with the 2.87 pulley, 550cc Deutchwerke (sp?) injectors, Walbro fuel pump, HKS FCon iS, Defi Link II unit, boost, egt and oil pressure gauges and Innovate AFR gauge.
Already on my G I have HKS Hi Power exhaust, Tein Flex coils w/EDFC, Hotchkis sways, Eibach rear camber kit and Work VS-XX wheels.
Next up is a Top Secret front bumper and Stop Tech bbk.

no fuel return with a 2.87? hrmm interesting. i have almost the same exact setup but with a 3.12. might have to look into the 2.87 if you are successful with it.

Nope. No fuel return. The goal here is a "safe" 400whp. It's all about the tuning and Sam is second to none at that. A fuel return was never even discussed. It's not necessary.

actually you cant really do much about not getting enough fuel if your fuel system is maxed out with tuning alone. but i thinking it will be fine for a safe 400whp. good luck, i'm anxiously waiting your results. and yes, Sam is a badass.

I'm not worried about it bro. Sam said I am getting enough fuel for 500hp and I am not going to be anywhere near that. I'll post my numbers once I get them.

The G went back on the dyno but now one of my belts is slipping. I guess there aren't a lot of Rev Up engines running the 2.87 pulley. This seems to be the issue. But Sam is working on it. If it doesn't work out, I guess we will have to just go back to the 3.12 pulley. We'll see.

HKS FCon iS with 550cc injectors. From what I remember, Sam said at about 7psi my G was making 358whp or so but then I had some belt slippage. Not sure at what rpm though.

Update:

Sam @ GTM just called and he is done tuning my G. Phew! It looks like everything worked out. He is just gonna take it out for a quick spin and road test/tune and I should be able to pick my G up tomorrow. Now that's what I call dedication. 11pm here on the West Coast and Sam (and George too) are still at the shop tuning and working. Great job fellas!! GTM FTMFW!!!
