think My Motor's done
Actually mine is at GTM also for upgraded timing sprockets due to the TSB for 03-04 models. First my timing chain guide broke and then a year later a heard (2 weeks ago) a ticking sound which did not come from the engine itself but some timing component. Sam is fixing this plus a few other mods right now.

This has nothing to do with the chain. The guides and or tensioners break for what ever the reason. The chain survived but was replaced to be safe. It would be silly not to put in a new chain at this point. The labor is where the money is.
