In the end, every car has its appeal. I guess for a true car enthusiest, brand and configuration doesnt matter. For me its the the technology. It gets me hot.

I dont see what the fuss is about. We all know the K series is stout, stock or built. There are a couple in houston that lay 630 rwhp ona stock block. Its the RSX chassis that is subpar for a Honda. Actually, it really is the fault of the Honda team that decided to go strut up front on the older civics. Anyways... FWD is gay.

I actually thought rsx were cool, but not after months of bs threads about it. the one op posted is prolly one of the only ones that's breaking 500whp+ rsx get's stalloned on a daily basis by evo, sti, zs and gs. they're in a lower calibur with civics, altimas etc...

5.5 gens were and still are the quickest stock maximas (mid 14s) and they weigh way more than 2800lbs. the 4th gens were dogs. VQ30 engines FTL.

you consider a car with 190 hp vs 255 hp a dog?

the car was made in 1995 .. a mid to high 14 second sedan in 1995 is impressive

FYI - 1997 Nissan Maxima SE curb weight: 3100lbs, 1997 Nissan Maxima GXE curb weight: 3085lbs.

dont think i am being "a hater". just telling it like it is. i still miss my Maxima, great car, but lets be realistic here.

the 4th gens could NOT break into the 14s stock, PERIOD. the 5.5 gen could, high 14s. the 4th gen Maximas were running mid 15s.......low 15s with John Force behind the wheel.

Brian - 14.8
myself - 14.9

not sure if Matt ever ran his stock ... i also know VeeTec on this very board ran 14.7 bone stock in his 97 Maxima.. feel free to pm all these people

you say you only took out the spare? the jack, tools, floor mats, etc were left in? sorry, but i call BS here. why would car websites lie? because they get their info from the manufacturer. why would Nissan lie? so now car makers underrate their curb weights along with engine power? sorry, i think not. you did some other removals to get it down that light..........

so what you are saying is, professional drivers who can't get the car into the 14s stock are missing something that a bunch of amateurs aren't? LOL! come on man. either those times are BS (awaits videos, since time slips can be from any car) OR, those guys were NOT stock and/or did some decent weight reduction.

again, pros got the car into the 15s. the 5.5 gen is the fastest Maxima. the 3.0L V6 was great, in 1991........

because your facts are incorrect and you refuse to see the error in your facts.. i am wondering if YOU know what the word means. I told you numerous people have run 14's bone stock, yet you still continue to argue its false

if i am incorrect or not, it has NO bearing on me being an elitist. look it up. at no point did i make myself seem better than anyone.

they ran 14s by taking stuff out of the car. and either way, you cant tell me that the 4th gen was faster than the 5.5 gen.

255hp > 190hp
