Chris, I called him, but right as I was getting off the phone with him, I got a call back from a local powdercoater here in Vero Beach. for ease, I went local.

very true Rob. Vero is pretty quiet, but the quality of life here is fantastic.

I lived in Miami for 11 year, but I grew up in Vero.........I had an opportunity to move back to vero, and I never thought twice about it. I was married, and my son was ready to start school.. That's a great time to move out of MIami. I still go down there fairly often because my inlaws live in the Gables.
Bro I tried my local dealership and they told me I couldnt get their motors due to oil consumption as they send them back to Nissan.. I would totally do what you did if I could find a damn motor for that price..
Who is going to build the motor? What are the specs? Are you going to stick with the UTEC?

Ronnie Crawford is going to build the motor. If you know anything about SmallBlock Fords, this guy is legendary. He build some of my other motors in the past....he is a true engine builder, not just an engine assembler. actually, he is the guy who created the "347" stroker that everyone does to 302s now. his design has been copied by everyone out there. He mainly only works on serious drag motors (6 and 7 second stuff), but he has been quite intrigued by the VQ35, as he drives an Altima for a Daily driver. One of the South Florida infiniti dealers shipped him a couple motors to play with.

very very nice QuadCam - on stuff as difficult to reach as these, the powdercoating option works best!

what is the finish that you used on your valvecovers in that NA build? is that a flat red, or a wrinkle finish red? paint? powdercoat?
Quadcam,
Looks great, I actually did all my covers black and sent the bolts to be chromed. Wish I would have chromed the covers on the timing cover now
When you get it on the car post up some pics!
