Default Couple tn questions (again) lol....

Overall im very happy with the performance factor, but since going from the sc to st, ive noticed a few things that pick me a bit and want to know if this is normal.

First is the smell when i pull up to a stoplight. Im assuming its because i dont have the cat, and running on the reflash, but the stink only seems to stick around for a bit, not the whole length of sitting at a light.

Second is the throttle sensitivity, or tip in. I find its a lot more fussy and jarring when im slightly on it and off throttle, its just not as smooth as i had before. Again im assuming that before when i had the ss box i was on stock ecu and injectors when out of boost, and now with the reflash its adjusting for the bigger injectors that i have now, thus causing it to be not so refined.

Exhaust will be here next week, and I see a utec and tune after that.

Thanks.

I get that smell also. it's running a little rich right now so i guess thats why. One question do you get rattle from what seems to be the downpipe. Most of the time it come starts at around 2700-3000 rpm's.

I do have a rattle, well not so much a rattle rather than a vibration i can feel in the pedals that starts around 2500 rpm as well and goes away at say 3500. My installer says everything is SOO tight that he thinks its prob. one of the overboost pipes rubbing down there.

everything you are griping about are 100% tune related. Get a proper EMS and tune and those things will be taken care of. Reflash FTL

Agreed, get yourself a good EMS and slightly larger injectors

I'd go ahead and get the 550's instead. This way you wont have to worry about the duty cycle % being high at all.
