Thumbs up Forged Performance: SGP Built 5AT, GReddy TT, F-CON VPro, 504whp@16psi

As usual, Sharif, Chris & Devon did outstanding work. Thanks also to Michael, Sandy and new FP employee Dylan. Chuck and I had a great time and quite a few laughs.

Here is what was done.

my car:
Install SGP Race Built 5AT
Install Pro Torque TC
Install Earl's 16 Row Trans Cooler
Install Steel Braided Lines to Cooler
Install HKS 1000cc Injectors
Install HKS EVC VI Boost Controller
Re-Tune to 16psi

Chucky's car:
Install my stock 5AT with modified VB

After installing the new transmission and some prelim road testing, Sharif put it on the dyno and did some tuning. Here are the results at 16psi and some race gas. The tune was not optimized for the race gas which was used as a measure of safety. I couldn't be happier with the car now. It feels very smooth throughout and perfect idle. The shifts are fast and firm. The car just feels rock solid and nasty fast. Chuck's car is finally shifting fast and hard and running great.

Here are some pics, dyno sheet and a video. Enjoy!

16psi Dyno Dynamics, uncorrected in Shootout mode.

The tow - my wife's QX56 and Chuck's G35

I'm worried - will it be done in time?

Chris playing with my driveshaft - WTF? Notice Shairf trying to be serious on phone.

Chuck's car under the knife

New trans cooler setup

Chris trying to get in the car

Someone's tampered with my decals

Sharif and I happy that it's done

Hmmmmm, a green monster on the way

We had about as much fun as work can be....all day sat and half of sunday. Ron and Chuck are two of the funniest guys I know. Actually, Chuck could be a comedian for a living.

Enjoy the new power and new trans.

GTM...is the built tranny on the market now? If you could do a new thread with a quick write up on it, it would be appreciated.

We have a GTM Stage3 trans in house that is going into RCDash's G35. Should be nice to compare the two setups. Finally the 5AT guys have some beefy trans options on the market.

Is Rons race built different from the stage 3. If you could break them down for us that would be great(unless GTM is not ready to let the info out yet).

Thanks
