Default Which BOV for APS TT on stock block?

I searched and searched but can't seem to find the answer

I don't like the whistle sound some BOVs make, I'm looking for a strong air discharge sound like when you shoot air out of a shop compressor.

I've been told Tial makes the sound I like but don't know if it'll work with a conservatively tuned DD.

Does boost lvl or HP lvl, or size of turbos dictate what BOV I can use?

I meant the TT will be conservatively/safe tuned, not that I want conservative BOV's.

So any BOV will work when running low/mid boost? My concern is will there be enough air to work certain BOVs with low/mid boost.

Thanks for responding.

I have the Tial 50mm BOV and I'm running on 4.5lbs and 8lbs PSI (ST Turbo). The sound is definitely different than HKS and has more of a compress air coming out like you wanted. My friend took a ride with me and even he's contemplating of changing to Tial. At low boost (4.5lbs) it still make some awesome sound and it is even better at 8lbs. I haven't heard the APS BOV so I can't really compare.

I also have the TiAL BOV with boost at 7.5psi and it sounds great! I had to tweak it a little by replacing the -11psi spring with a -7psi spring and washers. No whistle ... just a crisp rush of air (reminds me of a truck with air brakes).

I must have just watched more than 50 BOV clips and I like Tial more than Blitz.

So, you guys think Tial 50mm BOV be good for TT @ 4~8lbs of boost? Or is there a different size I should get?

Thanks again for the response.

I believe the 50mm is the only size you can get in a TiAL. The choice is what spring you will use. According to their website, the spring rate is determined by vacuum, not boost. With my low boost setup, I ended up getting a lighter spring. You will want to figure this out before you buy one seeing they are around $40 each.

Yep tial and turbonetics both have that "whoosh" of air sound. Either work well.

You know what I think... go big or gome home!

Doug,

Is the APS BOV pretty conservative? Jotech wanted me to use the TIAL, but on the streets i'm not trying to advertise I have dual turbos under the hood... I'm all about flashing my muscle during the race, whereby I catch my opponent off guard

Thanks
I believe Tial are used for high powered Turbo coz of it's design and reliability. If I'm not mistaken Tial doesn't even rank on top of the most loudest BOV in the market.

i think i can anser.. when not WOT just cruising it sounds like csss.. csss.. cssss.. very quite and recurculating.. when wide open throttle it will then put out a little bit of a psshhh but not as loud as most other BOV if your trying to keep it low key.. the aps BOV is great IMO
