I didnt name the person that PMed me , nor did I mention the shop . I already stated that I should have included.....if the person was telling me the truth......May be you didnt read every post in this thread .

I also said in one post that may be the Mods should close the thread because it looked like no one was going to share and compare rates charged for the work done to thier cars .

Ok...now that you want to or have been sent to defend GTM and be thier nut hugger .

Read all of the posts !

I said that even if rates are higher in bigger cities and the 13,000 included other work done like compression test , tuning , and other things . It was still way over what another top notch shop would charge .

Again try reading every post and pay attention this time !!!

lol well ok, if we're going to go there,
if i'm a GTM nut hugger, then you're a GTM basher oooooo

not trying to be mean or anything, but so far this is how I'd summarize up this thread:

Booger:
bla bla bla CA has expensive shops! All you people going to CA for work are stupid to pay those prices

everyone else:
hmm they're not really all that high when factoring in cost of living and besides, CA has some of the best shops in the country specializing in the Z/G with more resources and knowledge available than most general performance shops. And none of us have paid anything near what you're talking about

Booger:
well my local shop in the middle of nebraska is just as good for MUCH less money, so there!

everyone else:
uh well ok then. Glad that was straightened out

...I know, I know, there's probably a LOT deeper meaning and intrinsic knowledge contained in this thread than my view of these posts so far. So if I left anything out, I'm truely sorry

I am no fan MPO ......but look who's the ones to start thier own trouble in this thread....GTM and Sentry !!!!

I have never said anything in the open forum to express MPO . Not untill George from GTM came in here and put his shop in the light .

MPO is MPO.....If you dont want to here about it...dont ask !!!!

EDIT AFTER SENTRY ADD"S TO HIS POST

Again...you dont read all of the post or you only want to read the part you think will be useful later .

I said if a shop or shops in Cali. charges $200 an Hr . I would be shipping my car to Nebraska and save several thousand .

that's weird since I've hardly posted in this thread...guess I must carry THAT much weight when I post then hmm? I dunno

I'm just trying to sort out the truth for those of us that HAVE had work done in CA

I can see that in larger cities that you would be charged more per hr . But $200 hr is rediculous . I dont care how good they think they are . I would be shipping my car to Nebraska for $80 hr . And still come out on top by a few thousand

I also think Im right in saying $80 Hr. is in line in MOST states
I have no idea who you mean then
I've gone to GTM and performance nissan, so not sure why you think I'd know who you're talking about??? I could only assume you were talking about GTM
you never came out and posted the name of the shop. Are we supposed to be psychic or something?

so what in your personal opinion should everyone do?
Perhaps we should all go to nebraska so we can have your top shop with extensive Z/G knowledge work on all our cars for $80/hr?

oh booger, you should know by now I take most of the typical comments you say with a grain of salt and ditto on the fool comment

we're all glad you have a top notch shop in your area

We can all go around posting up prices of different parts and labor for all the different shops, but that won't stop people from buying parts from where they're more comfortable with or what's more convenient for them.

Not all of us want to make the drive to nebraska to a shop that might not offer products that a lot of people want.
I know if I went there, the drive would have been 3x as long and they're probably not an authorized dealer for a lot of Z/G products

hmm ok, well here's my posts up until you called me a GTM nut hugger and that I can't read:

...yup I sure was the one trying to start the arguing here

and if it's who I think you mean, their normal labor rate was much lower, around the $120 mark which considering who they are and the resources they have, that's not too bad

I've never ever paid over $120/hour at any shop I've gone to
