Guessing I burnt my AC line TN
Just went to have my AC recharged. It was initially holding vacuum 30", but as soon as a charge was put in it, the exhaust started smoking. Must be leaking and the intake was sucking in the refrigerant. I looked but couldnt see the relocation line from the top of the car. Should you be able to see it, or do you have to get under the car to see it?

Get some UV coolant and charge the system with it. They have kits that come with a UV pen light that you can find the leak with.
Good luck on getting it fixed. Next time, I'd suggest to go overkill with the heat shielding and routing.

i ended up takin my turbo out, bought an ac line ($50) and had a friend help me reinstall it.... forgot to get the beer but i got cold ac...

Yes, and I'd prefer to route it myself to make sure it's done right. I hate leaving something as touchy as that up to someone else.
Oh, and nothing great about giving simple advice, but thanks. lol...

What is the line made out of, rubber? I am looking at the isntall guide, but it is hard to tell with the sleeve on it. Also what is the easiest way to access this? my guess is removing the turbo?
thanks

Replied to your PM.
Get a new one, or even better to get a custom line that's 6-8 inches longer.
A custom shield of DEI "heat wrap" and "cool tube extreme" will keep it from melting through again. Make SURE it's routed well away from any and all piping.
Here's what my custom lower line looks like (8 inches longer and wrapped in DEI heat wrap with cool tube extreme). Needless to say I've got a brick sh1thouse of an AC line:
On my build, we're replacing my upper AC line as well and cutting off the "U" bend in the hardline that runs to the compressor and shielding it with DEI Fire Sleeve.
