Ok.. GOOD NEWS!! I talked to the belt supplier and they can ship anywhere in the U.S.

Also, if you deal with them it is cheaper than anywhere else because its out of Canada.

General Bearing Service (Name of the Shop)
Tel# 613-238-8100 or 800-267-2022

All you need to do is tell them you want a JASON belt and give them your Gates belt part number..

I just got some TIGER belts today from JASON at that shop and they are niheeeece!! Posting pics..

Because ATI is hungry..

Actually it eats belts at high psi like my 14-16psi pulley.. 7psi/9psi/11psi you will not see exact wear like the pics above.. It will take longer..

Also, exact alignment/cog teeth wear/tightness are all things that are critical..

Your cog pulley teeth being filed on probably has more to do with it than any thing . Others have ran that high of PSI on a ATI with out saying they ran thru belts like you .

Your probably right.. But im going to run these JASON belts for a while and see how long they last.. If they last long and dont break the problem wasnt the teeth.. Besides.. Changing the Pulleys would be a major PITA as I would hate to spend $200+ on paying someone to do it..

Im thinking the alignment I had was bad.. I never looked at it from above the pulleys and my tensioner pulley was pulling the belt off track of the cog teeth.. This was because I didnt have a spacer behind the tensioner pulley and I just rectified this the other day(The pulley fell off once after running the new routing of the belt= lost original washer/spacer)..

I overlooked the importance of that and once I really looked at the alignment I realized.. Wow.. I was way off center.. I hope you know what im saying..

Oh yeh....them pulleys need to be lined up or your belts are toast . Also at higher psi , the bracket starts to distort and will wear out belts sooner .

No...it flexes , bends . The higher the psi the higher the trq. thats put on the pulleys and will actually make the bracket bend or flex .

Usually after a few runs WOT(15psi on defi@7000rpms) with gates belts you start to see the webbing of the belt coming loose and symptoms of the pics above..

Its because you run cog belts with teeth. Vortech uses a smooth ribbed serentine belt as its main drive.

Ok, how about for the vortech cog belt on a non revup motor. I dont know the part number on it since vortech ships it with the SC with no tag.

So for the six rib belt should i stick with gates? Its long, 80 1/8", but thats 13 inches shorter then the old vortech non rev up belt.
