Default 650's is a return a must?

If I go with 650 injectors is a return fuell system a must?.. I know a walbro is... can our returnless system handle 650's?

If I go return I read that CJM is the way to go over AAM... is this the majority belief?

thanks all.

Jeremy at performance factory has tuned a lot of cars with that setup, but I don't understand how the SS box deals with 650's. Was the ECU flashed?

So Sentry.... 650's should handle the 2.87 correct?... I think you were running like 750's.... hows the duty cycle?

You can easily tune it with the SS box...but yes ...you would have to flash the ECU for the 650's

550's work just as well for the 2.87. Unless you are planning on going over 500whp with the Vortech, go with 550's. Lower Injectors = Better Idle as well.

But if I go Utec I dont need the flash, correct?.... I am tired of the "non live" tuning of the SS box and having to wait on it to catch up.

You don't. SS box can scale injectors, but I think it only works under boost. You can just get a $350 flash from Technosquare and they will scale your car for specific injectors, remove your speed limiter, open your throttle 100% at WOT and raise your rev if you want.

Just for your info, I know of a couple people with 440's that have no flash and are just using the SS box and their idle is fine. One is a SC and the other is a TT. Everything works normally. So I am not even sure a flash is a must.

thanks... I am looking at a deal on a Utec / 650's harness and clips... Id rather go a bit overkill to be safe and I would be getting the 650's cheaper than I could get the 450's... I'll also throw a walbro in as well while I am at it.

Not sure, but I am guessing not 100%. It's the L-Spec flash, but honestly I felt no difference between stock and after the flash.

Ok Cool..... So with the Utec then I dont need a flash as the utec will scale the injectors and do all that fun stuff right? ..

I just need a map selector switch I would think.

650s is good without a RFS, you will be just fine with your Vortech

You'll be fine with the 650's, walbro, and UTEC. As you know by now, I will be running the same setup . I've done PLENTY of research and found that this combination will work good. I'll talk to you more about it this weekend when we meet up for me to check out that bumper .

Yeah, a return system is not necessarily required if your pushing the 400whp range. Obviously if you have money and have big plans in the future (twins), it is good to have.

yeah I'm running 750's, but 650's or probably 550's would be perfectly fine for me. The only reason I'm at 750's is from when we were trying to troubleshoot my fuel system and wanted to eliminate the injectors from being the problem. Never bothered to switch back to the 550's.

I wouldn't really know how the 750's would feel in a normal car with a normal idle. My idle is at like 1300 rpms and then 1500 with the AC on. When the car is heatsoaked - which happens easy after sitting outside in the 110 degree heat all day, it'll idle at 1700-1900 rpms with the AC on which I actually have to get that adjusted because raising the idle is something my Fcon tries to do when the car is really hot. When I drive the car in the morning before it gets so hot out, everything about the car runs awesome

first thing I noticed about the 750's though is when you're next to other cars or a wall where the sound can reflect back to you, you can hear the actual injector pulsing - sounds sorta like clicking.

But I haven't had any issues with the 750 injectors when I had my ECU flash for them or now with the FconVpro. The car is a little hard to start up at times though. I usually try to give it a little bit of throttle in neutral when I start up and that seems to help. My guess is this is probably due to the injectors and/or how my fuel pressure is set. I've been thinking about changing my spark plugs though to see if that helps any.

I think that's true, but to my knowledge you can only scale the SS box to 550's at the most. Though some people have said they had trouble scaling all the way to 550's with the SS box for whatever reason - not sure what the issue was
