Wanted to put up this post for a good friend of ours, username: alwaysnboot...
For a while now he was ridiculed by alot of skeptics about breaking into the 11's on a stock engine with a JWT TT Kit on the Sport 530 Turbos. Well we decided to once again go against the grain and prove the masses wrong =)
Quick history on Sal's setup... He's been on the JWT TT Kit for almost a year now with no issues whatsoever. Its an 03 Track 350Z 6mt. Car has been running great along with some minor supporting mods such as a JWT Clutch/Flywheel combo and Greddy EVO TT exhaust. He's got a minimum of about 5-6k miles on the kit and has achieved a very consistent 12.6 @ 111mph runs throughout summer on street 19" rims and tires. Well the need to go faster has landed him back to the shop for some minor mods.
Got the car last week and we guaranteed Sal that we can get the numbers he was looking for. So we went with some custom 16" rim made for us by the Coddingtons and a 255 MT DOT Legal DRs. Then Vinny tuned up the car and setup the suspension for drag racing.
Got to the track yesterday morning and put the DRs on the car and lined the car up... Weather conditions weren't great @ all, it rained in the early hours and there were a couple of delays throughout the day. First pass was a 12.6, tires weren't really warmed up yet and Sal was still learning about launching on his new DRs. So Vinny went on the track and gave Sal some pointers on launching the car and how hard to go...
THE RESULT:
An 11.86 @ 114mph run on the second pass! launching @ 4500rpms slipping the clutch a little! Keep in mind this is on a stock engine and standard JWT TT setup!
Sal should be posting up soon with his own comments and timeslip, as well as a video of the run. But we just wanted to Congratulate him on a very succesful day yesterday! Keep it up Sal
... soon enough we'll do an engine build and really let the car loose =)

Whoever said the JWT kit wouldnt run 11's is a moron. What kind of power did this car make? Boost? How about a breakdown of the slip? If I can run 11's on a TN kit Id never doubt any TT kit could...congrats on that run good driving.

last i remembered seeing @ the old shop when we dynoed the car was around the 420rwhp range... on an AWD Mustang Dynamometer.... we have yet to dyno him in our new shop on our new eddy-current load based Dynojet dyno =(
hopefully within the next week or so... gotta put on some L2 Axles and such for reinforcement since he's so hooked on going lower now.

hey alberto- i remember that infamous run on the TN Setup!
i hear ya abot not breaking 11s on TT setup, but I guess he's getting a lot of skepticism around his way which is NJ.

Nice job. When people get serious about setting up the car for drag racing, there is no reason that a lot more people wont go 11's and 10's with all of the turbo kits. Keep up good work.

Anyone with a TT kit should be able to run into the 11'
The single turbo guys are well into it (with agressive tune)
I had had the smallest TT setup (Power Enterprise TT) running a weak sauce 400@ the wheels and tapped into the 11's.
Bust into the 10's with that set up.. Now that would be cool to see.
Anyhow good run.
