oh wow, im so glad this has finally come up. for 500rwhp on 91-93 oct you should get:
Utec w boost solenoid
cjm stage 2 return fuel system
eagle hp rods
arias or Je pistons .30 over
arp head studs
hks head gasket
greddy/aps/jwt 700bb kit

and a good tuner! tuning is key to reliability, use a reputable shop.

After thinking about what to say in this thread... F'k it. Everything's already been stated

Talk to one (or more) of the reputable shops here in the FI forum (call, don't just PM) and get a quote or two. For your power levels and budget, it's doable.

OP, the absolute minimum you need to go TT is to buy a TT kit and install yourself. Don't get anything else. You'll be TT for just the price of the kit.

OP- if your budget is $20k, just go ahead and go all the way; your only talking a few grand more and after you spend 20g's, believe me a few more just dosen't matter
