Default Rotational assembly balancing.. How important is it?

I'm arguing with a local builder right now who says that crank balancing isn't necessary for the simple forged engine build.. I say it's better to balance it.. but is there any other point I should make?

Why would you want to cut corners on something so crucial? Just tell him to do it. It's your motor!

You guys in the states have nothing to worry about since this shop is in South Korea.. Although it's kind of sad that these guys are the APS and Unichip authorized dealer in Korea...

Ask him if when he goes and purchases new tires if he tells the tire shop NOT to balance them. "just throw them on"

Remember what Julian@MRC had to go through with the BC stroker kit? I just found out that those pictures of ground BC rods and pistons in Julian's thead were not taken by BC themselves but taken by the same shop in Korea that I'm arguing with right now!!!! They ground those pistons and rods and didn't bother to rebalance the crank..
