It's an obvious problem the way the TN kit is sold. It should be addressed and fixed by TN. I spent over $1,000.00 to get mine fixed, had to relocate/rerun the hi and low sides. I just got them totally out of the way and since then no problems. After installing the TN kit, I had to basically have it un-installed, the turbo anyway to get to the lines. So there was alot of just labor involved, but I do not have time to mess around with it, so I just paid someone. Would have been alot better if the kit was sold with a fix, so I didn't have to pay additional labor to have the turbo un-installed, then re-installed. I had to pay for two complete A/C recharges, since I recharged after turbo was installed, then after hose was burned through and replaced I got to pay for it again. Wasn't to happy with the whole situation.

Header wrap doesn't work, it's just not dense enough and really not made for wrapping much besides metal piping. See my recommendations earlier in the thread. DEI makes some really nice products that blow normal header wrap away.

Lol, if I could only go back 3 days. It was ice cold too!

And thanks Craig. Hopefully it is done right this time and it isn't TOO much of a headache. (wishful thinking)

While installing the Greddy TT and new built engine today, We found out that my other AC line also burnt. Before is just the TN replacement line and now the lower line. Anyone know where I can order lower AC line?

Totally seperate and unrelated issue, but yeah, that sucks.

I'd recommend finding a local shop that does automotive AC lines and have them put a new custom length line in there to replace it. Take them the old line and they can reuse the hard fittings.

I have a brand new one from a TN kit that I never used. I bought a Z tuner kit for my G35, and I didn't know that the lower A/C line was different for the G. the line doesn't have any heat wrapping on it, but I'll make you a good deal for it. PM me.

Well, I just got a call with an update. Turns out I fried BOTH ac lines! They have extended the lines and wrapped in fire wrap and should be fine after complete.

I think when I install my TN kit I will just pull the whole AC system out. I never use it, and this way I dont have to fight the burned line fight

You could just wrap it properly the first time and never have an issue with it. heh...
