I've been searching & reading up on the Turbonetics ST kits and i'm in the market for one right now. I've read the main problem is heat. I know you can vent the hood, heat wrap, coating, etc. but what do you think is the best bet?
I'm sure you guys hear this alot but i'm just looking for a safe FI turbo kit for my daily driven Z. i'm thinking 360 - 380hp range and maybe 8 - 9psi should be a safe judgment. What do you guys reccomend? Thanks,
Swifty

The only thing that heat affected for me was the Turbo itself and I now have a water-cooled unit, besides that use good oil and heat wrap like MIA said. Don't use crap oil that isn't made for high temps or it will break down fast and crude will built up in the turbo. There are a ton of theads with tips for the TN kit here.
any of the twin or single turbo kits produce more heat under the hood. there are lots of things you can do to keep this to a minimum. we are located in central florida and can set up and install/tune anything you would like for your Z.
