APS TT Smoke under WOT
Hey guys,
I've read countless threads on the subject. I even had a smoking problem after my TT was installed (Smoke under deceleration, Fixed by making true dual and correct oil level) Ive always noticed a small amount of smoke under hard acceleration at WOT. I know the gravity feed oil return lines suck ***. Could this be another problem other then just the oil return lines? I notice the smoke a lot more on an inclined on ramp. Other then WOT there isn't much other then just a really faint smell of burning oil (no smoke visible). I'm pretty sure its the turbos over oiling and blowing through the seal on WOT. Any opinions?
Also, anyone ever use a puller pump, bigger return lines, ect to fix the oil return problems with APS TT?

Are you sure it isn't just light blue smoke? Is your car overheating at all?
Most of the oil drain related APS smoking problems I've seen (including my own) are on decel, not WOT. It could be something with your engine.
I'd try a compression test to help rule out the motor.

^ im in the process of figuring that out now. I think since i drove the car a couple 100 miles with too much oil i could have hurt the seal in my passanger side turbo.
The engine has great power with only 15,000 miles on it so i highly doubt its the engine.
If it is a bad turbo seal, is there a APS dealer in the states that will swap the turbo out since its under warranty? or would just having the turbo rebuilt be a better option?

First, it's $400 for the air freight to APS and back to the states. Next it was $800 to have Garrett in Australia to tear them down for inspection and replace with new cartridges and seals they wouldn't cover under warranty. That's what I got nailed for.
