Ok... but please believe that VQ35DE rods arent good to 1000whp. Divide by twoish.

I understand there not that good my whole point is which one is the weaker link the piston or rod and then go ahead and replace that but your right to just go ahead and replace both.

I would have to say that the pistons on the exact smae setup with the exact same conditions would make less power with the lower compression. That being said, with forged rods and pistons you can obviously crank up the boost more.

would replacing pistons only and changing them to lower compression help out your reliability on a stock turbo'd motor?

Who would want to crack open the engine and replace ONLY the pistons and leave the rest OE?
