This list is silly, as the highest hp cars arent usually the fastest drivers. Ive beaten 3 of the people in the top 10 list with less power Should be called "Dyno ****** Thread"

yeah the list is going to all be shop cars and people who don't know when to stop spending money on their car. They should all get a gold star sticker

 

I think the list helps those who want to set goals in terms of HP levels. Everyone builds their cars for different reasons. Some are looking for the numbers, while others are trying to build a auto-x, circuit track, 1/4 mile, show, etc. It's all about each person's own goals and what makes them happy at the end of the day...

FWIW, I think it's great to see that the top-ten list is populated by 600+ whp monsters. A few years ago this was unheard of. Now those with a decent bag of money / resources can actually build one of these cars.

I remember the days where a 6-700 HP supra was unheard of!! Now there are always 5 or more supras at a dyno event in 4 digits.

I bet in 2 years the entire top ten list for 350s is in 4 digits.

+1. Not everyone builds their car just to have the fastest 1/4 mile times. I've beat plenty of cars and never even been with in 20 miles of track. I don't claim to be the best driver either.

 

+1, I also agree.. But this serves as a good list because anyone curious of hp goals that can be acheived ( without 5 billion new threads on goals questions).

Nice...and we tuned/built 5 out of the 10 turbo cars on that list.

1/4 time is not the sole measure of a car's worthiness, nor is a dyno number. as Tenghai mentioned, each person has different goals for their car, and as long as those goals are met, then who are we to judge.

And as everyone knows, driver is about 80% of whether or not a car is fast on a 1/4 mile track, an autocross, or a circuit course.
