Question 350z vortech auto

i am thinking of ordering a vortech system for the 350z. but i am not sure how to upgrade the transmission in order to support the power of the supercharger. the 350z is a 05 with only 18000 miles on it and i dont want to destroy the engine

there's lots of people on bone stock autos doing just fine. A lot of people use manual mode though and shift a little early to give the tranny time to shift when it hits redline

+1, this is actually stated in the Vortech Installation Manual.

If you are leaving the stock 3.33 pulley on and have no plans on increasing the power other than tuning . Leaving the tranny alone will be fine . You can get a valve body done so the tranny will shift faster and harder . It will also shift before hitting the rev limiter . Hitting the rev limiter in full auto mode is the main problem you will incounter . Getting a VB done will also hurt the smoothness of the tranny . Shifts can be hard.....1st to 2nd shift is actually to hard at low rpm's....you have to get used to it .
