If I'm not mistaken, my car when stock weighed 3247, and its the heaviest one of that year. I think the enthusist or base model in 04 was 3188. Thats a huge difference from 3500 pounds...The 07s weigh like 3350 or something. The only Z that weighs 3500 pounds is a roadster. I'm talking about the curb wieght.

What is the second MT ET street radial?, haven't seen those before, only the top ones. There is a 295/50-16 and a 315/45-16.

IIRC those were the older versions of the tires. They are 27.2" and 27.7" respectively. The taller one would fit my wheels but is too tall for the power/gearing I already have, and the 27.2" is decent diameter but requires a way wider (new wheels) over what I currently run. Like I said I dont want to buy more wheels/tires...

Alberto,
Some of the high-HP Z32 guys run that MT ET Street RADIAL in the 255 size and have put down low 1.4s 60's and low 10s passes. For example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zcJU7bBLrQ

I am amazed at the traction of those tires. As the other guy said, they now offer a 295 in the same tread; I've been curious to try it myself as-swap for my MT ET Streets.

Great run, BTW. I look forward to seeing more from you. Question though: can you control the boost during your run? Meaning, can you jump to high-boost in 3rd or 4th gear? Why aren't you making high boost runs?

My old 26X11.5" ET Street set-up is what works best for me. I am not doing my high boost-which is 15psi until I feel I have extracted 98% from the low boost set-up. I could run 15psi let off the last 100 feet and run 10's easy, thats not a challenge. How many people with a street car-6MT Z can say they run 10's? How many can say they do it at their lowest power level? Thats my goal...

That all depends on what that persons LOW POWER level is..Injected can say they ran 10's on low boost. My low boost map is about 525DD uncorrected and my trap is about 128 right now, just need to stop breaking axles

Injected doesnt have a 6MT and its a gutted caged car. You havent run 10's yet, so even if you trapped 145mph it wouldnt matter in this conversation

I had my stock track wheels (front) painted and machined to match my 19" LE's. Here is a crappy cell phone pic-when I run 10's I'll look good doing it Hopefully, running a 1.5" narrower wheel up front will help with the hyper sensitive steering and help me stay WOT the entire run, we shall see, this is an "easy" fix I have to test.

I like what you've done with the wheels! +2

You are trying to run a 10s pass followed by "10s street car". Is that on 100 octane? Some will say that's not a street car (not me, as I run 100 octane all the time also)

Most non-sponsored high-power 6MTs don't even make it to the track, so you are in a league of very few already! At your weight and power, you should be able to just sneak in a high 10s pass assuming the right conditions. After you do that, will you turn the wick up, or are you not that eager to break the next weakest link?

I find myself babying the car at the drags as well, as I enjoy driving it not having it taken apart at the shop for this (diff) or that (trans). I feel your pain, and look forward to seeing your runs.

Money put into go-fast goodies instead. Plus some roll-bar configurations require one to cut part of the interior. To run sub 11.50, you also need doorbars (which can be removable), as well as a flame-retardant jacket. I'd rather get a few practice runs in, then turn up the wick and go home.
