try over 4K. More like 4.2K. And we are finding this in all (soon to be) 4 cars equipped with these 850BB's. (reportedly)

Havent givven up on them yet, though

Even thought the 850's have more lag down low, on the other hand, they should be able to produce power higher up in the RPM band, with a better intake manifold and headword/cams of course.

You are correct, and they do!! I am just more after usable power for our road racing purposes.

The 700BB kits can, and have seen north of 700whp, with more mid range and lower end power than the 850BB's, though

But, the 850BB's are the perfect fit for some of the dynoqueens on here. J/K (kinda)

In Jan when I get back we are going up to 23 psi on thses turbos.
the car i installed the 850s on was boosting 20 psi and let me tell you if was fu@king stuiped. You can blow the tires off in fifth gear not that i recommend it.

Yes its on this forum. However since are test car is getting built we have put it to the side for now. Also for the ppl that keep asking to third party test we have two outside extremly credable sources that are going to test it.And they are in the so cal area.

IMO, the 850 kit is a bit too big and laggy so far for a roadcourse track car. For a freeway racer or a drag racer the 850's are the ultimate, though just a bit too much lag to be at all practical.

We are still working with JWT on some custom cam profiles and some other things to get a more usable powerband for our purposes, so stay tuned.

So far my favorite kit for all purposes is the 700BB kit (built motor of course)
OK Kool....you just answered my next question Roadracing was my main concern. There was a Viper Venom at the track last weekend. He had a problem timing the boost and the lag was killing him. He spent more time off track than on track,my guess is he had over 700hp.... So 500 to 550 rwhp with no lag is way more than I need...

Luie..... How you doing bro

Your setup is top notch....

I was asking Scott because he is heavy into roadracing like Sharif and I. I know he would understand what I was really asking without me having to get into some drawn out question. As we all know....if you cant get that power in a corner to get that bite because of lag or a late arrival of big boost........it could get ugly.

I've heard Scott talk tons about the 850s, I don't think his mind will ever change about em lol.

Had my twins installed my Scott and I couldn't be happier. I'm not very experienced with forced induction beyond what I have, but there is no lag from what I can tell.

Look at where the turbos make full boost

Mine @15psi a little past 4250 looks like 14.5psi @4250
XKR's @14.5 a little past 4000 maybe 4100rpm
Joes Greddy TT@ 15psi3750rpm

As you can see the Greddys are the $hit down low spool up faster and both the 700's and 850's

looks like a 150rpm diffrence between the 700 and 850 @ 14.5psi, not a big diffrence

luie....

Scott was talking about when the boost comes on line....when the turbo's start to register on the boost gauge. If you are on the track and you have no low end and little mid range boost and you have a driver in front of you that knows what he is doing ....he could block and brake you to death. He could keep you out of your power range on the slow part of the track forcing you to do something stupid
