Default Starting problem

Modifications:

Vortech SC w/ 3.12 pulley
440cc injectors
Skunk2 plenum spacer
Walbro 255 fuel pump
UTEC

The car runs great. The only problem I have right now has been occuring over the the past two weeks. After I fill up on gas, the car cranks and cranks but does not start. It takes about 2-3 tries of extended cranking for the engine to slowly start up and sputter to life. The car will then stall. I retry cranking, give it some gas, and the car sputters to life again. I'll have to blip the throttle for about 30-45 seconds for the car to finally stabilize and hold an idle. This only happens immediately after I fill up on gas. Anytime after the car starts fine.

What do you guys think the problem may be?

feul delivery system. Are you running the car extremely low on gas ( gas light comes on) as that can wear out the fuel pump faster. It sounds like your running it low, and then the fuel pump is having to prime itself ( get gas back into it). Depending on how old it is, it may be time to replace.

Yeah it's below 1/4 tank when I fill up on gas. It's a 2 month old Walbro 255. This only happens after I fill up on gas. When I start the car up in the morning, even if its low with the gas light on this does not happen. Even if I turn the ignition on and let the fuel system prime for a few seconds it still happens.

id get it waranteed out then, I am 95% sure its something with the fuel pump. You could always get the fuel filter replaced to see if its dirty ( like 60 bucks)

sounds like when the cap is off the fuel from the line is draining back into the tank,do you have a fuel pressure gauge?

No fuel pressure gauge. I guess what I can do is possibly just undo my gas cap even w/ a full tank for a minute to see if I can recreate the problem.
