AMS has no where near that amount of money in that car, I bet you spent more on your build than they did...

Not to take anything away from Scotts accomplishment, but there's no way a set of slicks is going to pick up 8+ seconds, maybe 1 or 2 seconds max, so you would still be 9 or 10 seconds away from that beast...

 

Thats what I said -3 sec off the time the car had. AMS's car has nothing inside. My car has everything plus the upgraded stero and nav.

I dont see you tracking your car and posting about? What has your car done? Dont get me started.

As far as money spent on my car I can tell you I am no where near what you spent $$$$$$. Nice suspension set up you have what you spend for that?

The AMS car only ran those times on Sunday. The rest of the weekend I guess they had it in sleeper mode. lol It was the final event for them this season I believe. They pulled out all the stops, ran the living pi$$ out of that car, and ran a seriously good time. The Watts BMW wasn't far behind considering it was a "test and tune" weekend for them as well.

Louie's car put down some GREAT times and seeing Scott trying to drive that monster around the track was really something to see. Remember its a street car and not a race car like the AMS Evo or the BMW (which were about the only 2 cars to run sub 2 min laps). It takes ALOT of time and trial and error to get a car truely running well and the AMS guys are quite experienced at it. Scott spanked the crap out of Tarzan "whatever his last name is" in the element subi.

Congrats agian guys.

Scott or Louie, do you think a down tune would be beneficial and run a little less HP to gain some traction coming out of the turns? Just curious to see your point of view.

I am sorry bro really, I just found out that one of my Turbos might have gone. That might explain the oil we were loosing out of the BOV.
Oh well it was fun as hell reping the Z guys!

Phunk this was on a new built motor 3K miles on it on mid boost 15psi @534rwhp. Still waiting on the fuel pump.

No worries, I have my moments too I think its really cool that you guys are out there representing the Z/G community I'll be out there soon enough, just need to stop adding stuff to my car and go out and break it already!

That sucks to hear about your turbo, what symptoms are you having?

 

I was cleaning her up and taking her to Firestone tire center to re check the street camber, and I noticed white smoke under decel, So I rolled down the windows and spooled her up and no $hit it sounds like a bearing is loose. That might explain the oil shooting out the BOV and coolent consumption. Thats racing. She'll be up in no time JWT will take car of me.
