+1
After talking to Jim last night for an hour.
Once again I realy think it something small and stupid. No smoke or issues even on the last lap as far as power wise.

this is so cool, I really regret passing up this weekend now. I could've met a whole bunch of cool guys that I routinely read about. love the focus and respect being given to suspension settings.
next time, if you guys come to summit point I am there, VIR is much farther and I don't even get to kart there!!
also, I love the fact that in every picture you posted it looked like you were running different rims each time

The car was on different wheels and tires alot, three different combinations.

Weather changes, track conditions, setup, etc. The ability to tweak a standalone on a ***** out track car is mandatory IMHO.

So the CC routing we discussed did work?

I'll have my wife send it this week. we'll find out very soon if it solves the problem, but I am pretty sure, I sure hope it fixes the overheating issue.

A little better "under the curve" power would be nice, but we are testing some stuff and will be a little better before the Redline Finals and the Super Street Super Lap Battle finals that are comming up right after SEMA

Juan, your Sparco Racing wheels looked better on Daves car than Louie's, but the tires sure saved my day.

I think what Driven1 was refering to was the modified class, not the Unlimited class that the element tuning STI was competing in. Tarzan was also going to compete in the modified class (where we where both on R-comps not slicks) but I think they broke something, but before that, I passed that car a couple times in that class, thus being faster on the same type of tires.... FYI, on our cars, I have found slicks such as Hoosiers to be about 3-5 seconds (depending on the track) faster than a R-compound tire of the same size on the same car with the same set up.
No doubt, Tarzan is a world class driver and a great spokesman for the tuner car driver industry, and always a force to be reconed with (especially in AWD cars). Not taking anything away from any of the competeters at this event. There was a strong gathering of quick cars there, especially some of the BMW's, and I never have seen so many stripped out race prepped EVO's at one event before either. IMO, the competition is a bit steeper in Time Attacks out on the west coast compared to the east, but they are all tough none the less.
