Road was curvy, but there were short areas of straight or minimal curves for quick 160mph blasts...

Well "technically" we're just cruising here ... but I think you guys get the picture. Towards the end all three Zs had a gas pedal "malfunction". I did as well, but my non-existent boost didn't "malfunction".

I'm going to make an assumption and say that based on this comment you're looking at a sleeved overbore option. Perhaps stroked, but at least an overbore. With the HKS head gaskets, you can go up to 97mm. Cometic HG's can be had in 100mm varieties... 3.8L big bore VQ's have been seen by Sharif's car and are known for nasty 650+whp results when teamed with a nice GReddy TT setup. I'd assume also that with your meth kit and a nice tune you could hit the 700whp range.

Needless to say I'll be watching to see what you come back to the table with. Good luck and keep us posted

Sharif did 650whp (DD)on straight c16 and maxing the UPGRADED turbos. 3.8L, IF Joe stays with standard snails, he will be slightly under that max, but with faster spool....Im interested in seeing if Joe keeps the standard snails or not.

Don't forget about the meth kit that Joe's packin' too... But considering the smaller snail factor - I'd say maybe 650 on C16 with the 18G's and meth? Who knows...

With the upgraded turbos, the only concern that I'd have is the reliability factor. From what I understand - alot of guys have had issues with the 20G upgrades (Sharif included) as far as longevity.

I did 643 on 3.5L displacement and 18G turbos at 18.5psi. Sharif did 650 on 3.8L displacement and 20G turbos at 19psi....

So if I either go with bigger snails or more displacement I should be well on my way to 700. Still working out the details, but if you do both then should be a non issue and I plan to still hit that on pump/meth with less than 20psi.

Damn, I forgot your original numbers towards the end of this discussion... That meth kit is really helping to push you up there. FWIW - I'd stay away from the 20G upgrade until they get the bugs worked out of them. 18G vs. 20G is really not a huge push in terms of potential and with an increase in displacement and meth I'd say you'd more than make your goals. Although I'm curious to see if you hit it below the 20psi mark. We'll see...

A reliable upgraded would be a good idea. Whatever you do, do NOT use turbochargers.com for the upgrade.

Yes Alberto, next year's ZDAYZ should be insane. Hopefully all of the high powered will come out to the airstrip for some rolling runs.

Well if I'm not the only 5AT out there, then I'll try to go too... My high boost will probably be all your 6MT ballers' low boost so not sure it'll be fair, but it should still be fun.
