Default anyone have pics/info on Carl Stevens, Jr. 6-sec Z???

With all the fast zs around this web page, I never hear anything about the Carl Stevens, Jr.

He pilots a 350Z in the NDRA series, and has just become the 1st sport compact racer to break into the 6s on a 10.5" tire.

DOes anyone have pics/info on his engine setup? I know he is running a pair of big garrett GT4202R turbos, but what else is under the hood. Is he still running a VQ? I one saw pics of a cool Wilson's intake manifold on a VQ that was in a serious drag machine....is this the car?

He is using a double-sleeved VQ35 with twin GT47's. Dry sump with billet girdle.

Sweet Jesus!!! That's not even a VQ, 350Z, or anything closely resembling a the like... Setups like that are beyond all reason and so far from where the car starts that it's irrelevant to compare them to anything else at that point... BAD *** - absolutely. But that's about all you can say.

it doesn't look like he's running 10.5s in that picture. The new setup I was reading about is a red car; the article is ont garrett's website. that's where I got the info on the twin gt 4202R turbos. I think the article was dated 9/07.

i like the short wheelie bars better. there's nothing like seeing a car pull the wheels for the first 330' of the track!!!

Why do the turbos look different? Are they in different housings to improve spool up time for one and high end power for the other?

Totally

Right is probably the new GT47 setup and the left is the old setup.

Is he using OEM studs and head gasket? I heard they are pretty robust.
