No more, no less. I tried using a Revup lower collector with my TN kit but it didnt work on my car, it made less power with a crappy TQ curve. It does alright for a "measly" Greddy kit

Thanks Alberto.

I remember the thread but can't remember if there was a dyno of it.

I ask because I have been trying to get a dyno of the MREV2/Spacer combo on a REVUP engine for a Looooong time.

Your dyno comparison and plenum set up was the closest I know of for a FI comparison.

Not to get too far off topic, but is anyone running boost on a Kinetix V+ plenum?

Any dyno or a FI dyno with that set-up? Damnit-if my GF had a clutch that would hold in her Z Id do some runs to track test the stock plenum then the spacer + MREV on her Revup for you!!!!!

Haha Yeah! Typo on my part.

I meant to say MREV2/spacer on a "REVUP with FI".

Got a ton of NA dynos.

Thanks for the link, Alberto.

Although I respect your opinion, I guess I will go ahead and keep the V+ installed when my build is done and see if it will hold boost, because why not? If it cracks, I'll go back to stock. I think I paid a whole $50 for the thing or something around there, back over a year ago. Its been fine thus far.

I agree with many on here, when you're FI, the 1/2 is probably the better bet.

When you're pressurizing the intake system, you fill the plenum space quickly. A slightly larger space for more air volume would work well.
However going with an angled vs flat (such as an MD) spacer, wouldn't really matter at all IMO, since when you're in boost, the intake system is pressurized already, forcing the air into the chambers. slightly changing an angle of direction won't help too much without completely re-designing the intake system, which is what you're doing if you end up swapping everything to a setup similar to the Kinetix SSV.

So short answer, 5/16 or 1/2 inch, go 1/2. angled or non, doesn't really matter IMO

I got a great deal on the Crawford V5 I'm running with my Vortech, so I went that route. I also had a good past experience with the Crawford V2 way back before the FI. If I was buying new, I'd go with the 1/2" spacer.

Just a note - if you're running a built motor AND have solid motor mounts, the motor will sit slightly lower and you'll have room to run the 1/2" spacer with a strut brace.

Great info-I may do those just to keep the damn spacer from rubbing my hood/upper plenum.

I'm running the Injected Performance solid motor mounts and it has plenty of room. Of course, I eyeballed the measurement, but with the 5/16" spacer it had WELL more than 3/16" of extra room to work with. I'm using the JIC strut brace so maybe I'll get out the stock brace and actually measure it one of these days.
