Default Best manifold spacer for FI?

I plan on purchasing that TN Single turbo kit here this winter. I was wondering what the best spacer is for this kit. I have done research on here about this but I'm just more confused. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

So when it's not an "angled" spacer, say just a 5/16 or 1/2 is there still an angle on the manifold?

Looks like the MD 5/16ths and the 1/2 inch make the most power. http://motordyneengineering.com/imag...tAnalysis1.gif

the spacer is like one of the best horsepower per dollar mods you can do to the Z for FI or NA in my opinion

I think what you posted the link to was probably the motordyne iso thermal kit that has a gasket to prevent heatsoak. Its a little more that just the spacer itself

I don't understand why the AAM Angled spacer (http://www.alteredatmosphere.com/mm5..._Code=350Z_ENG) doesn't make very much power on the dyno charts I found (http://motordyneengineering.com/imag...tAnalysis1.gif) I would think that an angled spacer would add more air to the front cylinders and be the best spacer of all. But as I stated earlier the 5/16ths and 1/2" spacer give the best power increase. Are these MD 5/16ths and 1/2" still retaining that factory slope forward design from Nissan and just giving more volume of air but still giving less to the front cylinders?

Looks like the link I just posted above for the dyno numbers on the different spacers doesn't work but I did put a good link for the dyno charts up higher on this thread.

My $.02: I am looking for one of the MD spacers for my FI set up. Consistantly, this seems to be the only intake manifold/plenum mod that consistantly works.

I am running the AAM spacer, and I like it... I think it's the biggest spacer you can add and still keep the factory look. And I am pretty happy with the amount of power it makes from it.

1/2" spacer FTW!

Many people worry and some have even had issues with there spacers, such as AAM or MD leaking under boost. When that happens, that is obviously an improper seal, something not installed correctly, bad surface mating area, etc, etc...I run a spacer with obviously 2 gaskets as opposed to 1 stock one, and that is where it has a "chance" of more failure, many prefer to go towards a replacement plenum such as Crawford or APS. I never had a problem with my Crawford until the actual aluminum upper plenum cracked under boost-it was old no big deal. I now run the 1/2" spacer and have had no issues and I di dfeel a big difference in going from driving around with no spacer/upper plenum to the 1/2" especially above 600rpm's!

Essentially, they all provide power, and have the ability to be reliable, its just we hear more about the spacers leaking under boost cuz people dont know how to properly install them and they have slightly more room for "error". 15psi here with no leaks running strong. Gains from all spacers/upper plenums will be close, so choose what you like best, what you can afford and what fits with your STB etc...
