Best manifold spacer for FI?
taurran, how do you like your solid motor mounts? Did you get used to yours?
I have them on my car and i am not a fan of them so far
. They are not bad when in motion, but they suck when the car is stopped.

If you don't have solid mounts theres the possibility it MAY vibrate from engine movement, but if you put the mounts in you'll definitely have some slightly less annoying vibration.

i also had to put mine in due to possible clearance issues with the TT kit.

I've been thinking of doing this for quite some time ... getting the solid mounts basically accomplishes something similar to the engine dampeners too right?
And what about "softer" solid engine mounts like polyurethane?

I believe in theory it should *slightly* improve handling (lowers the center of gravity of the motor), throttle response, and might make a very slight amount of power (no rotation of the motor to absorb torque). That's just my own thoughts though... I haven't driven the car enough with them to be able to say if mine made a noticable difference.
I guess a urethane mount could work. The vibration seriously isn't that bad unless you can only drive a car that feels bone stock.
When I was breaking in my car I had a messed up timing chain tensioner and found that much more annoying than any sort of vibration from the solid mounts. (this was fixed soon after, btw)
My suggestion would be to ride in a Z with solid mounts to decide if you can take it first.

They aren't bad when you are doing aggressive driving, but when you are realxing and just driving around town they get annoying
