Just a thought if there is no smoke and no oil on the ground.

A much more common issue is the PCV system.
But really, I think you're just being paranoid. VQ35's have always been known to burn through oil.

I understand that aot of VQ's burn oil, Its just the fact I've owned the car for 15k miles now and never had an issue til I boosted it.
I think im gonna give Jeremy a ring and see what he thinks.
yeah guys, usually when its a PCV issue, it will smoke a second after you let off the throttle.
these cars are known to burn oil for sure. you also have a used TN kit that you put on there so you dont know how many miles are really on the kit. 2 quarts is a lot of oil. are you checking it on the dipstick or actually measuring the amount of oil that comes out.
the dipstick, as we all know, sucks . i hate the damn thing ...

As long as you see any Oil on the stick mean you are not down 1qrt right? I don't think you will be down 2 qrts and still see oil on the dip stick, if it does then the stick is pointless.
well burning 1 quart an oil change is normal, you race your car a lot so i wouldnt worry, just check it and make sure when its cold, it stays at the same level.
keep it in the middle of the dipstick before you start the car up.
oil can only go a couple places, either getting burned which causes smoke, leaking on the ground, or into the intercooler which would in turn get blown into the engine and smoke....

Ban for having a turbo Z and racing it AND not checking oil at least every 1000 miles!!
In all seriousness, check the PCV valve, maybe add a CC it may keep some of the oil from burning out...hopefully its not something serious

Are you saying that when you checked it there was oil on the stick but when you did the oil change there were only 3qrts came out? If you are down 1qrt you should not see any oil on the dipstick.

No I mean the last time I checked it, It was fine, that was a few weeks back. I havent raced the car in a monthor so. Tho I do get on it here and there. The level was fine when I did check it. Thats why im so curious to know whats going on. I gues im just going to have to keep alot closer eye on it in the future, hopefully its nothing serious. And for sure change oil to M1 0w-40

I run the European blend 0w-40, its nice and does good in my oil analysis.
I rag my car to death and I burn about 1 qt every 3000-3500 miles...keep in mind any car that gets ragged and one that has a PVC system will "burn" oil.
Keep an eye on it close, and I know this is silly but just making sure--its best to check the oil after the car has been sitting on level ground. I laugh when people turn off their engines and check the oil 1 min later, the oil is still dripping back into the pan!

Is it ok to use in warm/hot climates?
I check the oil in my car every 1000 miles. I change the oil in my Z every 3000 miles. Just as long as I always have clean fresh oil in the engine, everything will be fine. When I picked my TT'd Z up from Performance Motorsports 2 years ago, they sat me down, and talked to me like a parent would to their kid...about the importance of oil in the engine. It actually kinda scared me a little bit.
I suggest from now on you really make it a point to stay on top of it!
