Default 03' Turbo Burned 2qts in a month??

I went to change my oil today after about 3200 miles, let the car sit for a good 30 minutes and drain the old oil out. Then put in the new filter and new Mobil 1 10w-30 oil. Then when I went to empty the old oil from my drain catch into the 5 qt bottle. It only came to the 3 qt line. I put 5 qts in every 2500-3000 miles and have never had this problem. The oil filler, dipstick, and drain plug were all tightly fastened and no leaks. This is my 2nd oil change since F/I. Anybody know whats going on with my car?? Turbo leaking??

Any help would be great guys. Im not freaking out, just a bit curious. Thanks.

The car isnt smoking, the only time I see smoke is a 2nd gear pull which is tires I believe. I havent popped off teh interfooler yet but I'll try to get to taht tomorrow. I just thought 2 quarts in a month is a bit rediculous.

try M1 0W40, its a much better oil then the 10w30 you have been running. ive heard of some people's oil consumption going away when switching to this oil. oh, the GT-R uses the M1 0w40 out of the factory.

mine also had 15k mile when I got my ST and never had any problem. Even without a problem I tried to check my oil just because of stuff that I read on this forum. Now I do consume some oil but only around half a quart every 2500 miles. I think some of that goes to my oil catch can.

Well yeah, but you just made a huge non-factory modifcation to you motor, FI is alot of pressure on a non-FI factory car, you really need to be checking it alot

I have been recommending Mobil 1 0-40w for some time now, definitely one of the best oils out there, by coincidence it is also the factory oil to be used on the new GT-R as mentioned above

Some oil consumption on a turbo car is to be expected, change the oil and see what happens, what turbo kit do you have?

The only way you'd see any oil in the intercooler is if you had a BAD backup of oil into the turbo causing it to blow by the seals on the compressor side. I doubt you will find anything there. All issues I've seen with these seals has been on the exhaust side.

I figured that the PCV system could be messing up and blowing oil into the intake tube.

Just a thought if there is no smoke and no oil on the ground.
