ordered some forge actuators specifying a 75 kcal or 0.7 bar or 10 psi rate... which is basically the same thing in different definitions...

so the guys sent me something that opens at 3 psi... thanx guys.... this was done through noer but he got the same issues... we had to have one of our guys make up some springs locally adding to the cost... its a mission sending things cross continent for silly mistakes.... from discussions etc inc forum posts there is no clear definition on the springs for forged actuators... even the guys at the company dont know whats potting... maybe they potting.... i sure wish i was cause it was a serious loss of humour getting shyte one didn't order that wouldn't keep things going even if christina was in the passanger seat...

You lost me on the last half of the paragraph... but.. are you sure you preloaded the actuator arms right?

 

Just to clarify,
Dooms has the yellow springs.

another 350Z owner ordered the same springs and they were not holding more than about 4psi.

The first thing I suggested tey look at was the pre-load but the tuner was adament that is was not holding and new spring wer made that now hold about 8psi (stand to be corrected).

Domms frustration stems from the fact that as we are based in South Africa we cannot afford to just return stuff as shipping is sometimes more than the item cost.

I will be going with an EW set up on my APS system so that i hopefully will not have such issues as my set up came with the extreme manifolds and I have the 3.5" down pipes. now I just need some 38mm tial wastegates and we will fabricate the pipe and we should be good to go.

To Dooms -> Hang in there bud you will be happy with the final product.
