built blocks mileage update, especially those that are daily driven or driven often
I have a built motor in my 3000GT VR4 which has lasted me 50,000 miles, and on my 9.3.1 comp. built motor for the G35 I put on 24k before I took it to GTM and had it built to 8.5.1 comp. The first was my daily driver till I got the G35 and now that is.

I was referring to the compression test, sorry. I will be running a 9:1 compression ratio with my build.
I.e.
My Gf's new s2k motor had compression of 210,209,210,210 in her JDM engine, but it has a compression ratio of 11.7:1.
I have looked everywhere from when I had my stock block compression tested, but I can't find the read out. I think it was 180-190 in each cylinder, but it has been almost a year, since then.
Anyway, back on subject.
Anyone with over 30k on a built block, say running a minimum of 13 psi?
3k on my built block, 8.5 comp, 10 psi daily driver mode tuned on a UTEC (which sux btw, upgrading to an Autronic unit in a month or so). 1 spirited run per day just to get my daily "kick in my pants feeling," other than that: revs stay below 4k rpms because this sucker guzzles gas like a V8.

What is the kick in the pants feeling's psi?
Never heard of the autotronic unit, elaborate

IMO at anything over 10psi it doesnt have enough resolution to tune all part throttle load sites and WOT. Of the two of course you pick WOT, and have a few hiccups during some spots of normal driving. Over 1 year my tune has changed some, and now my part throttle driving sucks and is annoying. For the record this isnt Sharif's fault, nobody could fix this, new EM coming this winter

That's why I need a EMS upgrade immediately!

why are people worried about build motors not lasting?

I am not worried, nor do I think most anyone is, but I was just curious, how everyone's engines were doing.
I konw that Sharif's built engine, last time, I checked had nearly 30k of incredible abuse.

Is it still running great, what power level? Is it driven in a spirited manner, or lopped around at 70-80 mph all the time?
Good to see a 30k built motor!
