Default Boost on a high mileage engine

I tried searching but found plenty of threads as far as engines that had high mileage but were already FI. My question is I'm planning on going FI here in the next 3 or 4 months. However my car has 98k miles on it. I'm worried about how the engine will take going FI. I'm not looking to make goobs of power or run alot of boost on it. I'm leaning towards the turbonectics kit and running the normal 8lbs. Engine mangement wise I'll be using the Utec. I also plan on buying a spare block and building it. I figure the engine should be ok as long as I cover all my bases with fuel mangement and get a good tune. That and not get boost happy and beat on it. Or should I just wait, after the spare block is built. Just wanted to see what yalls opinion is on the subject.

we have done kits on a lot of 80 000 plus motors, even one with 107 or 108 thousand.

just double check the engine first and make sure you bring it to a top notch shop for the work...

Wait. Why pay for the install twice? Not saying the engine will go boom, but if you have plans to build an engine I would wait.

If ya don't want gobs of power, they why not a Stillen kit?? Only 6PSI, plus it comes with everything you need, including a piggyback computer. Ask around, you will see that it's the safest and most reliable kit out there.

Me and a few friends would be doing the install. I'm not worried about the install process, they're more then capable to put on a turbo kit. Stillen supercharger is a definite no. Don't wanna change the hood. That and I've been watching Craig's build on his turbonetics kit very closely. Thats what the other block would be for. I wanna get used to driving a 340hp car and then go up little by little.

I don't see any issues concerning high mileage, just make sure to do some tests prior to install just to be on the safe side =)

I have 71k on my car right now. It has been boosted by either the Stillen or Greddy TT for the last 25k.
