Mid 12's?

 

i've seen a couple doing 13.2-13.3. So it's going to vary. I wonder this as well.

 

my G ran a 12.4 but it was far from a stock vortech kit

 

I went 13.2 all motor!!

 

what was ur trap speed ?

 

damn i can hit 13.3 stock motor

but i do have an HR, muahahahaha

 

I did 13.1 but trap speed was 110pmh. My 60ft times were 2.7 as well so I deff need to learn how to launch better, and I need a more aggressive tire setup. When I was going down the track, id spin the tires through 3rd gear.

 

never seen anyone hit 11s yet. majority in the 12s

 

how? slicks? im assumin u dont have an hr obviously by ur pic...

 

Non rev up w/ 1/2" MD, Test pipes, 3" single exhaust, k&n drop in filter, and good driver

I went 12.4 @ 110 on 6 psi. Sounds like thats about where your at.

 

Thats a really good time you ran there Zridder19. I'm going to be going back to the track in the spring then with some slicks on p45 rotas in the rear and see what I can run. I'll also have a 2.87 pulley on then as apposed to the stock 3.12 im running now so hopefully if I can learn how to launch better I'll be in the low 12's. Thats my goal atleast....we'll see come spring.

 

you would have hit mid 12's with those cars.

 

u had the UTEC, 2.87, and 650 CC injectors ?

 

Crappy driver conditions = low 13's, high 12's

Avg = mid 12's

Good = low 12's, no 11 sec S/C's to this day, but 2 or 3 Ive seen with potential to do it

How much whp do you thing a vortech Z would need to break into the 11's? With an average driver I should add.

i think you could do it on 420 if you could launch really well on a bias ply tire. I dynoed 400 on a dynojet and hit a 12.4 with a 1.8 60', and this was in a much heavier car. If you could get a fairly lightweight Z and launch the ***** out of it it would hit 11's pretty easy

 

Well this gives me hope of hitting 11's then with the vortech. I'll have to practice launching a lot tho ha. Guess I'll just have to wait and see in the spring what myself and my Z are capable of.
