The other day doing my regular routine inspection. From under the car there was a drip of oil right under the outside compressor housing around the bolt near the oil return line. So I looked under the hood and felt around and there was just a little bit of oil around the two bolts on the left side of the compressor, the two closes to the oil return line. One is in the very center of the pic and then the next one down. You get the point. You can clearly see in pic. You can't see the oil but the bolts.
I started looking for obvious signs, such as the return line, flange and fitting. Nothing there that could be felt or seen. I then decided to check the bolts on the compressor, just to see. Everyone was loose, a couple real loose. On some I got just over a full turn to tighten. Most where 1/2 a turn. I don't know the torque spec's, but I have a good feel of what it should be. The bottom one I didn't get all the way tight, but real close. It's kind of in a tricky spot. I'll have the right wrench tomorrow to check again.
Cleaned up everything, Started up cold for oil pressure would be higher to look for leaks. Let it warm up and took for test drive. There is still a little bit of oil there, not much. But who knows how long it was leaking before? Question is, does any one have any solutions to what it could be in this region of the compressor for this to happen? I didn't really think there was oil in this part of the compressor to have leak out from the edges? Wondering if the seals are failing? The return should be good for I redid it not to long ago and I feel I did a perfect job on it and have been keeping an eye on it and had no problems there, to the best of my knowledge. At that time (month ago) I took off the downpipe and no sign of oil there at that time. I know that's the turbine side, but just thought I state it. Thanks for your help?
edit: Forgot to add, I pulled apart the IC piping to see for signs of oil. None at all.

Maybe something to check periodically...can't really think of anything else....maybe a dab of locktite in the future?
Also, I wonder where that oil is coming from...that is my bigger concern....even if the housing was a little loose.

I was hoping next week I could run by there and let you take a quick minute look under the hood. I'm not at a panic point yet. I need to come by there and pick up some more oil anyway.
