He didn't really know why but assured us that all of the other HKS turbo kits came complete. So, don't go on a headhunt just yet. I got a good laugh out of it though, I was wearing a badge that said Turbonetics Inc on it, but flipped it around before going up to the HKS/Garrett/Precision booths. His comment also followed my comment about not being incredibly excited about another HKS supercharger kit.

I also specifically asked questions on the GT Supercharger, but didn't get much info. They said it was very close to the same design as the Rotrex unit, but should operate slightly more efficiently due to a change to the design of some orbiting balancers of some sort in the unit. They said it should be good for a little power and efficiency, but wouldn't be a big power upgrade over the old Rotrex kits.

Unfortunately I was there on the day that the HKS Japan and UK guys were all there, and didnt get to speak with any HKS US reps which were slated to be there the following day. The HKS Japan representatives spoke little or no english.

We also took a quick look at the new HKS knock amp interface which looked pretty nice.
I agree with you. It definitely feels like HKS kinda shat on the Z. But they never intended the GT Supercharger to be a power house. Check out the japanese site and all there marketing is about a "mature" tuning option, providing a balance between performance and fuel economy. Having said that, HKS claims there making 450rwhp with the pro kit and cams at 10psi, so it can't be that crap. And if that is the case, then i'll take one of these over a vortech any day.

I'd be down for that. Anybody seen any pics of where this puts the turbos? Same basic location as GReddy or JWT? Doesn't the PE TT put the turbos way up front almost like the TN ST only mirrored (same place both sides)?

Edit: If it is the TT GTM used, then:

PE is mounted just like all the other TT kits publically available.

GTM is using the HKS manifolds and turbos + whatever other parts that fit up. (George can chime in on that part).

HKS is also rumoured to be working on a much bigger gt supercharger than the street or pro kits to make a lot of power for the big dogs.

Ah yeah, pretty much standard. You would almost think there's only 1 manufacturer of the cast manifolds every company uses

Think I can get a hold of whoever that is and order a set directly from them?

If anything I'm going to buy JWT manifolds directly from them. They're not a bad price at all. What advantage would I have using custom manifolds? It wouldn't be enough of an advantage to warrant $300+ more than the cast JWT's... (aka same manifolds as all these others)?
