My local drag strip is the one next to the airport Fayetteville (6 miles from the casa) It is open every Sunday from 1 till 6 pm. You dont need a fire suit, you dont need a helmet (unless you have a roll bar) The track prep is good (there will be 8 to 9 sec cars running thought the day) so yeah track is good. $10 to get in $10 to run your car as many times as you want. No waitting if you have to wait it will be about 10 min maxs, to get some of the bike thru.
Fayetteville is off the 95 about 20miles before you hit I40 comming from the south.
