Piston speed is "kind of" the engine rpm limiting factor.
VQ35 (stock stroke) at 8500rpm = 7340FPM (piston speed)
2JZ (stock stroke) will only be at 7970rpm to have the same piston speed.
or a...
2JZ at 9500rpm = 8749FPM that would let a VQ35 go to 10,132rpm to have the same piston speed
I rev mine out to 8200 with no problems.

what difference does it make where you set your rev limiter if you know that if you hit it, there's a good chance you will be changing the engine.. It's what the engine can take, not where you set the electronics. If I put my rev limiter to 15k is that now my redline???
