I am not sure what it will do for a 04 engine with a Vortech SC and stock rev limiter... I would not want to loose the mid range TQ / HP for the peak gains at redline. And with a stock rev limiter on a non revup engine I will never see 7k plus redlines...

Then they should not market this to NA or near stock cars coz it is not worth the $$$ I think Sharif should rename his thread from Cosworth Plenum FI/NA: Pics Inside! to Cosworth Plenum If you want to rev past 7000rpm: Pics Inside!

i think for a stock or near stock Z the spacers and mrev still take the cake for power to buck ratio of course. This mod seems to benefit high build engines with increased rev limiters . The bling factor is def there but for a G on a Revup or 287 it just doesnt addup. Maybey if we increase a revups redline to that of a HR maybey the gain would appear beyond stock limits?
i was really hoping that on a revup motor NA with a increased redline we would see a nice peak hp gain previously unseen with spacers. I can def see this mod pushing crazy volume with a FI build but tuning is def in order and much trial and test since where in its infant stage as far as knowing what it can do.

That is what I have said in the past.... Cosworth knows that we are boosting these cars and that we need better flow....I am sure FI was the main thing on their minds when they designed this plenum

Many other factors determine the peak power that happens and where in the rpm range it happens. I never said that there is no place for a cam bigger than a 264. But it has to be matched to the rest of the setup, and the lift and ramp rate are far more critical aspects than just the advertised duration. If you want bigger, that's fine, but a "264" tells you just about nothing when its all said and done. It's about matching a cam to the rest of the setup, not the other way around IMHO. There are cams that some might consider mild on the duration side, for various platforms, that absolutely crush higher duration cams. But each motor has a sweet spot that it wants, and there are lots of variables involved in determining what cam a particular engine craves. Going strictly by the off the shelf #'s is among the worst ways to select a camshaft for any motor.

I'm waiting to see what it will do on Adam's motor or an N/A motor with cams and Cosworth heads, I"m betting we see a better gain then. I see a lot of bitching about the price of a truly engineered, new design manifold for our cars that few others have attempted, when you add up the price of an MREV 2 and a spacer your at what 650.00? for a modified stock manifold and a 5/16
inch piece of CNC alluminum. (no disrespect Tony, just trying to put some of these haters in check)
I think the hype and expectations got out of control and everyone who wants one but cant get one is bashing here, its one manifold on two almost stock cars thats been out for three days, let the other shops get thiers in and give it some time, the results will come, actually they already did!
