whats the max PSI this has held so far? I know some people had leaks. was this ever resolved? Im seriously thinking to buy one for my build now...

We have run 35-40psi through the manifold and 1,350rwhp. The dozen we have installed I can't recall any of them leaking. The oring is not the easiest to install but just takes caution and effort.

Agreed.

Cosworth now machines the mating surfaces flat, and uses a revised o-ring. They suggest using a very light fillet of black RTV as well. No leaks.

RTV will work but I've never liked using that. Stillen uses Anerobic Sealer...maybe give that a try? Cleans up well and very little squeeze over and even that is very cleanable.

Tried lookin for an answer but couldn't find any so my bad if this question has been answered but at what PSI would the cosworth start to help with my power goals? I know the cosworth is great for high boosted cars but where's that number start to kick in at?

^^ imma youll see gains at almost any psi but the VQ seems to really come alive at 8+ psi so that's where i would venture to speculate that the cosworth would be most beneficial.

Well im currently using the 5/16 spacer n mrev2 on my boost set-up... I know the cosworth is good for HIGH psi numbers so im wondering where that sweet spot is to crossover to the next one.

spacers dont really benefit boost applications. i wish i would have left mine off cause its causing piping to rub up against my hood. i think the most important benefit of the cosworth is that it allows DE's to keep making power past 6000rpm.

If I remember correctly, the main advantage of the 5/16" spacer was to even out air flow to the front 2 cylinders ...

I have no complaint with mine jus wondering at which point i should switch to cosworth. Im making power with my set-up up to redline with no drop off.

I wouldnt bother spending the money on a cosworth with your setup, unless you had money to burn and wanted some eye candy.

We have seen gains on 300whp turbonetics setup, and we have seen gains on 600whp setups. Generally what I have found is: the more power you are making, the more your gains will be.

other suggestion is..just run a spacer and polish your stock plenum...

Cosworth is a work of art...and the cf caps hold psi fine... i only know of 1 person that said he had issues with the cf caps coming off...i think it helps over stock for sure...how much more to make it worth it... hard to say and it probably depends on the buyer... and at the 900+whp builds(looking at SP builds) its still not settled that its actually helping that much if not opposite....i still got one cause its hawt!

SP doesnt use the cosworth

My big pull (900whp DD) had my clutch starting to slip so the curve dropped a little. If the stock mani went on with just 8 bolts, I woulda liked to compare the 2.

BUT, 20 mins spark plug changes were worth the money right there!
